Natural history is an inspiration to me.  All living creatures and their environments are fascinating, powerful, and intriguing in numerous ways, leaving me with a tremendous respect for our natural world.
My work deals with man’s footprint on our biological environment and how it is altered by certain deliberate, as well as unintentional interactions.  Two such specific issues that I am most interested in are genetically modified organisms and human refuse.  These two concerns, if abused, can lead to severe consequences.  As our food sources and medical world are saturated by Genetic manipulation, new dilemmas arise as well as the hope for something better. And as we consume products soon to become obsolete, then   fated as unwanted trash, there arises a need for ingenuity within man's imagination that must rise to make trash into treasure.
I design mutated organisms that reflect the uncertainties of what lies ahead when we mess with Eden.  My life forms merge with refuse and assimilate certain properties into their DNA, thus becoming altered forever and unknowingly as they try to survive, therefore threatening our natural biodiversities.
